French Chateau for Sale

A French Chateau For Sale is a home that is situated on a large land plot, usually over one hectare. Although there are only a small number of French chateaux for sale at any one time, they can be extremely expensive. There are many different factors that buyers consider when choosing a French chateau. Some people want a large structure, while others want a smaller Logis-style property with ample land for horses, wildlife, or hunting.

Chateau de Riviere

If luxury and the finer things in life are important to you, Chateau de Riviere is the place to be. It is a luxury winery with full-service accommodations. The winery is located in the Fronsac appellation. The property is surrounded by vineyards. You can taste the wine in the winery’s winery, or you can stay at the hotel.

The Chateau de Riviere has undergone periodic renovations over the years. A major renovation took place in 1962. The Chinese billionaire Lam Kok bought the estate from James Gregorie. But he was killed in a helicopter crash in the same year. His family later purchased the Chateau de Riviere.

The Chateau de Riviere’s 65-hectare vineyards are planted with a mix of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its vines are 80 years old. It is one of the first Bordeaux chateaux to receive certification for high environmental value. Its red wine is aged in French oak for twelve to eighteen months. The winery also produces a dry white Bordeaux wine called Chateau de Riviere Blanc. This wine is a unique blend of 67% Sauvignon Blanc and 33% Sauvignon Gris. Vinification takes place in cement vats.

Chateau de Riviere is one of the oldest estates in the Fronsac appellation. Its history goes back to 769 when Emperor Charlemagne ordered the construction of a fort on the site. It was built on land which was previously used by the ancient Romans as a burial mound.

Chateau La Perriere

Chateau La Perriere is a historic winery in the commune of Lussac. Its name is derived from a water current known as La Perriere. The commune also has the eponymous stream. The vineyard is located on 14 hectares (35 acres) of soil, with a clay-limestone subsoil. The estate produces four wines, one of which is a Grand Cru Saint-Emilion. It also makes a wine that is known as the Blanc de La Perriere, which is made from Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon.

The owners of the chateau have made several changes to improve the property. The owners decided to create a family-friendly environment to attract a wide variety of clientele. In the process, they have incorporated modern furniture with French classical furnishings. One of the most successful changes is the cinema room.

The Chateau de la Perriere is a superb location for a corporate event. With over 25,000 square feet of timeless glamour and inspired design, this stunning property can accommodate up to 450 guests. It has seven elegant reception rooms and 10 versatile meeting/event rooms. In addition, it has 32,290 square feet of lush gardens and an intimate chapel. The restaurant at Chateau la Perriere is renowned for its creative French cuisine that uses local seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day, and guests can eat on the terrace or in the 17th century salon with its ceiling frescoes.

This 17th century chateau is a popular holiday destination and was included in The Times’ 20 Best French Chateaux For Groups list. Its beautiful surroundings and gastronomic restaurant make it one of the best venues in the Loire Valley.

Chateau Mareuil

The 15th century Chateau Mareuil is situated in the picturesque Hautes Vienne region of France, overlooking nature in the Asse valley. In February 2019, a new episode of Channel 4’s “Escape to the Chateau DIY” was broadcast at the Chateau. This property is now a protected national heritage site.

The chateau dates back to the 15th century, and was originally built to protect the area from brigands. It was reconstructed by Geoffrey de Mareuil in the 16th century, after which it lay empty until a local woman, Isabelle de Beauville, restored it. The chateau now boasts a small museum and guided tours.

The chateau is set in a stunning garden with private river frontage. Its outdoor terrace is the perfect setting for a relaxing picnic or afternoon stroll. Guests can enjoy al fresco drinks and chats amid sweet-scented flowers. The chateau’s interior features traditional furnishings and is complemented by two elegant guest suites.

The Chateau Mareuil offers three bedrooms and a suite on the first floor. There are two luxury suites, the Princess Suite (sleeps up to four people) and the Prince Suite (sleeps two). The Princess Suite features a king-size bed and a luxury bathroom. A separate double room, the Petite Princess, is located on the ground floor and has an adjacent cloakroom. There is also a studio apartment on the property, the Chateau’s Le Studio.
